Safety, Health and Environment Policy

In 2013 the construction company took an important step. We started the implementation of ISO 14001 certification, which establishes a system of Environmental Management, and OHSAS 18001, which provides a System of Health and Occupational Safety Management.

This process brought several benefits for MRV, among which we highlight: greater safety & security to employees and partners of the Company, effective incidence reduction of fines and labor and environmental notifications, decrease accidents probability in the workplace, better suitability to investors requirements and demands and, consequently, greater safety and environmental responsibility with value added to the MRV brand, thereby increasing their market competitiveness.

And within a continuous process of improvement of management and modernization of the operating practices of MRV, in 2015, after an audit performed by RINA (the company that performed the audit), MRV renewed their certificates.

For the successful implementation and renewal, teams of employees involved have gone through several training sessions, that dealt with issues relevant subjects to the certification implementations, such as hazards and risks identification at construction sites and administrative offices, environmental aspects and impacts survey, interpretation and full understanding of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 4001 standards.

Since then, MRV’s Executive Management has defined the Safety, Health and Environmental policy (HSE) adopted by The Company and that will become part of the the daily lives of employees will be:
