MRV&CO PARTICIPATES IN THE 7TH LEC INTERNATIONAL COMPLIANCE CONGRESS
Alex Medeiros, Executive Manager of Risks, Internal Audit and Compliance participates in a workshop on the importance of risk assessment for an effective integrity program.
The 7th International Compliance Congress promoted by LEC gathered in May 2019 more than 1000 people, in a 3-day event, with the aim of discussing the biggest challenges for the development of the compliance culture in Brazil and Latin America.
The Executive Manager of the Risks, Internal Audit and Compliance area of MRV&CO, Alex de Souza Medeiros, participated in the workshop on risk Assessment together with specialists Jefferson Kiyohara (Leading Partner of Compliance of Protiviti), Luciano Inácio de Souza (Partner in the areas of Compliance and Anti-corruption and Government Relations at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados) and Gabriela Roitburd (Lead Compliance Counsel - Latin America, at Nokia).

With a practical approach, Alex shared knowledge and case knowledge of MRV&CO on how to perform a structured and safe risk Assessment to obtain an effective compliance program."There is no point in a compliance program without an accurate risk assessment.This evaluation should be conducted and reviewed regularly and take into account the ecosystem in which the company operates, its size and the degree of relationship with partners, third parties and suppliers."
The Congress also presented several panels, lectures and interviews with experts, authorities and journalists, national and international reference names that brought compliance trends and expectations to 2019.
