The 4th edition of the Sustainability in the Supply Chain event, took place on November 12 at the MRV headquarters in Belo Horizonte, and gathered about 100 suppliers from all over Brazil. The objective was to disseminate MRV&CO’s good practices in sustainability and integrity and to empower its suppliers to replicate some of these actions in their companies.
At the closing took place the award, according to sustainability questionnaire sent previously to the entire supply chain, for suppliers who had the highest score in all social visa point criteria, environmental and compliance categories separated by large, medium and small. At the end were also awarded the companies that had the highest score in each of the criteria, being BASF S.A the winner in the social criterion, Duratex S.A in the environmental criterion and Seral Otis Industria Metalúrgica Ltda in the Compliance.
The event was also attended by Darnon Álvares de Medeiros, Director of Supplies, Luis Henrique Capanema Pedrosa, Executive Manager of Sustainability and Institutional Relations, Jose Luiz Esteves da Fonseca, Executive Manager of SSMA and Leticia Fonseca Cruz Coelho, Senior Compliance Analyst. It has been reinforced by all speakers that more than suppliers, MRV&CO seeks partners who share their values to build an increasingly sustainable business environment, integrity and respect for human rights.
