
The 72nd Compliance Commission of Bahia held an online event on April 27 to address the challenges of compliance in the period of the coronavirus pandemic. The event was held by the JG Compliance Group and the Faculdade Baiana de Direito, with support from the Brazilian Institute of Law and Business Ethics (IBDEE), among other institutions.
The event was attended by two executives, two large Brazilian companies, Everson Zaczuk Bassinello da Braskem, Multinational Petroquímica, world leader in the production of Green Polyethylene that addressed the theme "Program of Compliance, Governance and Risks of Braskem & Integrative Vision in the management of the challenges of COVID19 & Solidarity and social responsibility". And Alex Medeiros of MRV&CO, the largest real estate developer in Latin America, with 40 years of experience, addressed the theme "Challenges of MRV&CO Compliance in times of Coronavirus & solidarity initiatives".
The presentations demonstrated the actions of the companies' Compliance focused on emergency demands and the Crisis Committees, as well as the support in social responsibility initiatives with employees, suppliers and especially society.
