
MRV&CO, the national leader in the economic real estate market, was represented by the Executive Director of Institutional Relations and Sustainability, Raphael Lafeta at the United Nations Human Rights and Business Forum (UN), held from 25 to 27 November in Geneva. The participation took place at the invitation of the Alliance for Integrity and is a recognition of the compliance and human rights practices adopted by the company in conducting business in a responsible manner. In addition, MRV&CO was cited as a reference in the UN Global Compact Report "Navigating: The Future Of Business And Human Rights".
Raphael Lafetá, participated in the panel "Corrupting the Human Rights Agenda: Private & Public Sector Voices", which took place on November 26. "We are very proud to be recognized by the UN as a model company in human rights practices. MRV&CO is a company committed to building a more just and sustainable world, with practices that ensure respect for human rights to fight corruption, "Lafetá said.
The UN Human Rights and Business Forum is the world’s largest annual meeting on business and human rights, with more than 2000 participants including governments, businesses, community groups and civil society, law firms, investor organisations, UN bodies, national human rights institutions, trade unions, universities and media.
Since 2016, MRV&CO is a signatory to the UN Global Compact, which aims to mobilize the international business community to adopt, in its business practices, core values and internationally accepted in the areas of human rights, labour relations, the environment and the fight against corruption. The company is also one of the members of Agenda 2030, in which it undertakes to develop initiatives that contribute to the implementation of actions that meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Sdgs) defined by the UN, which aim to eradicate poverty, protection of the environment and a world where people have more peace and prosperity.
