And, to reinforce even more the commitment with good compliance’s practices, the company is supporting the Global Integrity Campaign, launched in March 27th, 2021, extended until April and was finalized on the 4th Sounding Board Meeting of Alliance for Integrity on April 27, 2021. The conference reunited actors from all around the world, looking to support companies in the fight against corruption.
The campaign has more than 60 partners in 14 countries, such as national and international companies, business associations, public institutions, civil society and international organizations. Among the main activities of the Alliance for Integrity are raising awareness, training small and medium-sized enterprises (Smes) in compliance, and improving the structural conditions of doing business through public-private dialogues.
The campaign recognizes the fact that, on a daily basis, people have to make decisions on how to behave ethically in an environment of corruption. The interactive video, called "What would you do?" Produced by the organization and its partners, brings a daily business situation that ends with a conflict of interests, inviting people to think about the topic and choose what attitude they would take to this situation. The video was developed on a global Sounding Board and later adapted to the reality of each continent/region, both groups with MRV participation.
In addition to the video, the campaign also launched a website, with content on how corruption can be effectively combated and has several testimonials from CEOs and big business representatives on how to strengthen business integrity in times of crisis, as stated by Eduardo Fischer, president of MRV, "We have started inside our home the change we want to see in the world. Thus, because we are aware that small and medium-sized companies find it more difficult to implement an integrity program, we are committed to allocating efforts to proposing new integrity solutions to our suppliers. This is key to achieving ever stronger anti-corruption results."
MRV has also participated in the construction of the campaign carries out a strong work of dissemination and engagement so that its employees, its entire productive chain and society in general participate in the campaign.
